Offering everything from loafers, casual shoes, boots, dress shoes and accessories, they are a top pick for those in search of a new pair of footwear of any occasion.

Insight

Megantic began working with AQUILA in June 2023 through the eCommerce Accelerator Program; a partnership with the Government and Deakin University to run 16 SEO projects across retailers in Victoria. Megantic were tasked with a brief to focus on content and offsite work, while providing clear action points and concise reporting.

Our Approach

Using our Award Winning 3 Stage approach, we conducted research into competitors and relevant keywords to target the entire website. From this, we expanded out many subcategories to open up more entry points to the website. This aids relevancy for SEO and conversion rates as a user can land on a page with more relevant products.

We performed onsite SEO optimisation – including structural changes, H tag and meta data updates. Strategic offsite link building is also in the plan to drive future growth with the AQUILA team.

Year on Year Results

Since joining in June 2023, AQUILA has seen a significant boost in their online presence. They successfully rank for high competition, non-branded keywords and are now featured on the first page for highly competitive search terms such as "mens shoes” and “mens loafers”, outranking businesses many times their size.

This partnership’s success is evident in AQUILA rankings increases and organic market-share. At the time of publication on pages 1 for competitive terms like “Mens Shoes,” which was on page 3 when the project commenced. AQUILA now feature on page 1 consistently alongside brands like Foot Locker, Platypus Shoes, The Iconic, and JD Sports.
